On Thursday, February 3rd, 2011 we were overjoyed to welcome Emery Grace to the world! She weighed 7 lbs. and 13oz. and was 20 inches long. She has pretty blue eyes and dark black hair... and I must say she is quite beautiful! After spending a few days in the hospital, we were able to return home on February 6th. The first night home was truly a challenge that is impossible to prepare for. Each day has gotten easier and we are slowly falling into a rhythm, thank goodness! I have never done more dishes/laundry and less sleeping in my whole life. Its truly a blessing to have Emery's Grandmommy Peggy here to help give some relief in the late night hours and some teaching in the daytime to help calm my new mom paranoia. Emery is a happy and healthy baby. She loves to eat like her mommy and daddy (and fast, too!) and is finally gaining some weight. She likes to sleep all day and play at night, but we are working to get that turned around. Our first week home has been an adventure and I can only imagine all the more fun that is waiting around the corner for us as a new family!
